    Default copper tubing.

I have scrap copper tubing to give away (in hobby quantities and lengths only)
Various diameters up to 1.375" mostly hard drawn.
Lots of smaller lengths or longer tube lengths can be cut to suit....
Prefer pickup only...or if your a really nice i could post.
Size ranges from 1/4 up to 1.375"
All older stuff is outside in elements so it is tarnished ....but up of the ground.
Some is cleaned inside refrigeration pipe.

    Hi Eskimo,

Over here you would have the scrappy banging on your door to take that copper away ! You wouldn't believe what its scrap value is.
    Nearly £4.00p a Kg.

I know what its worth Baron but before i take it the merchants I thought that if some want bits etc its free. ..
You wont get most of this at the local hardware store as they only stock plumbers stuff...ie 1/2" & 3/4".
And as the stuff i have is ex refrigeration pipe it also has greater wall thickness.

and yes....i will be doing ring around before i take it to scrap buyer

    Hi Eskimo,

I live in Tungkillo, 5236, so I would like some piece(s) please. I want to make some copper inserts for my lathe chucks so anything you can spare would be great. We are not that far apart so I could pickup when it suits you.

    Hi Eskimo,

As it happens I have been looking for some 8mm copper tube for a project. McJing are out of stock. I only need a short length, 200mm or so. If you have this size (or close, 3/8 or 10mm would also work) I can mail over a pre-paid bag. I'm in Sydney. If you're willing, pm me your address.

    Thanks,
    Graham.

should have some 3/8. Soft or hard drawn?...all good clean stuff will be soft. But any hard will be used and from pre formed OEM units that I scrapped and will be tarnished as its outside.
8mm ? ...I did buy a roll of 5/16 soft drawn for a job once...will check tomorrow to see if I can find....mmm or was 3/16?????

I have 3/16, so was looking for something larger, preferably 8mm or 5/16 but 3/8 would do. I'd need soft, as I need to bend it and form the end to a flat nozzle. I assume I can anneal it to soften it though. Don't care if it's not clean.

If you're genuinely trying to get rid of this stuff, I'll take a bunch of sizes as I'm sure it will be good to have on hand for future projects.

what other sizes Graham...refrigeration pipe sizes go in 1/8 increments from 3/8 up to 1-1/8.

    Hi,

It's the smaller sizes I'd use most, 3/16", 1/4", 5/16" etc, but anything up to say 3/4" would be great.

I just checked Australia Post, they have a 5kg pre-paid bag which is 435 x 510mm (outside dimensions I guess), so either pieces cut to say 400mm, or if it coils then whatever will fit in that bag size. Obviously no need to make up the 5kg, I just chose that bag for its size.

Thanks so much for this. PM me your address or let me know and I'll call you for it.

    Graham.

    Hi Graham
Cant send a pic via PM
You did say you had 3/16...if not I can put some in the bag..this as is weighs just over 1kg and should all fit in 3kg bag..if not I can cut it to suit
the roll is 3/8....some 1/4, 5/16, 1/2, 5/8, 3/4 and 7/8?..i think might toss in some smaller pieces?

    Thanks!

I only have a small piece of 3/16, so more would be great. Feel free to toss in whatever fits

I'll send a 5kg bag as it is larger and only costs a dollar more.

Yes please Eskimo. Sorry for the apparent 'ignore' but I've just not been able to get to you recently. I should be able to drive down next Wed 31st or Thurs 1st. Which would be preferable to you?
