There are some sizes on eBay, and sets for $95.
Other than that try your local bolt place.

Contact General Tools in Adelaide - they are a family run machine tool supply place and should be able to help you

    +1 for general tools
I have also purchased them from Blackwoods in the past, but i only use them when I'm desperate.

What are the number sizes you need? I might have a few extras I could send you.

Metric jobber drill bits are available from the better suppliers in .05mm (.002") increments up to 3mm and in .1mm increments up to 13mm.

    In a previous life I used a lot of 11, 20, and 30 number drills, nowadays I would buy 4.9, 4.1 and 3.3mm bits.

Sutton have number drills listed in their online catalogue starting at page twenty - https://s3-ap-southeast-2.amazonaws....HSS+Drills.pdf

I am missing a few but I have found that local Perth retailers don't hold them in stock and they will only order them in a pack quantity of ten. Might be different in other parts of Australia.

Read on another forum that number drills have not been made for quite a few years, those currently available are metric drills (nearest size) stamped as number drills, not sure if there is any truth in this.

Does that go for Blackwoods as well Bob?

Blackwoods list them - the smaller numbered ones cost a bit more than the Co/TiN regular ones, the mid-range-size cost about the same and the larger ones cost about the same as standard bring drills

Should point out that Mark is in Tennant Creek - a distance away from nut and bolt shops, so mail order is his most likely method of supply

This mob has a large range of sizes. Sizes are specified in metric, but some might be number equivalents. No idea what the quality is like. http://www.hobbymechanics.com.au/pro...rills-HSS.html

Bought #30 and #40 singularly a couple of weeks ago at H&G hardware.....I see there's one not far from Abratool, but NT might not be so lucky!

Short panel drills give you two bites of the cherry, but probably won't match your set. Sheetmetal, particularly aircraft trades often use them, but Tennant Creek airport didn't appear to have much if any maintenance activity.....when I was there last century iirc.
