    Default Mist coolant spray.

    Hi all
Just got a mist coolant spray system. There are no instructions. I know how to use it but what pressure does it run at and how thin does the coolant need to be? Currently using 3 parts ATF to 1 part kerosene. TIA.

I've got mine set to 30psi and the same ATF to coolant ratio as you have.

I have only used it to trim/mill the edge of a couple of 6mm thick pieces - seems to work OK.

I just picked up a Noga Mini Cool. It came with instructions, but there is no mention of what pressure to use. There's a couple of graphs showing air flow and coolant flow vs air pressure for various liquid types, but that's it. I think you're just supposed to adjust the air and liquid flow until you get the desired droplet size.

Tried it all the way down to about 10 psi through a regulator. Still sprayed sufficient lubricant for steel.
