    The couplers in your pictures have a built in rolled stop and would need to shortened from each end. Are they yours or are yours somehow different?

    I dont understand why you have to use a "die set" if these are to be soldered ?

    Yes, the copper couplers are designed to be soldered in conventional use, but in my application they are not. In mine, they become part of/attached to a larger assembly.

    Maybe it will be simpler to modify the tool or make a suitable tool to do the job than shortening all those parts.
    Can you post pics of the tool and show how it operates on the part?
