They should be available at any bolt/nut store.

More details would help, such as length, head shape, unthreaded shank length, if any, etc.

It seems that bolt stores keep a range of LH nuts and threaded rod, but no screws or bolts !!
The pic supplied shows the broken thread in question, and as the larger thread is UNF, the thread needed is more likely to be 3/16 NC !!
The part needed will have to be approx 27mm and threaded no less than 13mm.

Re making an acceptable 3/16" LH Whitworth thread. The parts are small and handleable, so absent a suitable LH die (I don't have one) it may be possible to single point the thread in the lathe and check the fit as threading proceeds.
Not 100% sure what you need, is it the whole moveable jaw from the tap wrench?

No Bob.. ..The jaw was only case hardened.. I have ground off the stub, and can now drill a hole for the new stem.. this will either be brazed or pinned in place.
As for cutting on a lathe, my machine is a dinosaur.. I do not have the gears, (esp the reverse capability) to cut a 3/16 LH thread

Any luck with this one? I was at a local market the other weekend and found a tap wrench like that to replace the one I broke a while back but it cost all of $8!!.
Failing that, if you can wait another couple of months for the gods of employment to smile, I may even land a job that will let me be in the same location as my machine tools and so could make up a small length of studding for you.
