Sourcing small screws
Hi all..
I need a number of 3/32 Whit slotted round head machine screws.. Does anyone know of a supplier in Oz ?.. to make it more difficult, they have to be bright !
Tried a few model supply places... mainly US threads or Metric nowadays ..

Hi Ken, had a look on google, and seems that no one in this country does anything that small, found 5/32 but that's as small as the go.
Hopefully BaronJ migh chime in and source some for you.

Hi Ken, Kryn, Guys,
I'll have a look around for you. Though I suspect that any I might find could be, not as bright as they originally were. I say that because I have a new box of 1/2" X 1/4 BSF hex head screws, that are already rusting in the box.
Ken: Can you confirm 3/32" BSW, because that is not a standard Whitworth size.Best Regards:

Hi Ken, I would try Keables P/L in Melbourne.
In the past they have been able to supply hard to find fasteners.

Hi Ken,
Have a look at "EJWinter.co.au" they manufacture for various people. They trade as "Bolton Scale Models"
Now since 3/32" is almost spot on for 7BA, you could use that size. EKP Engineering here in the UK have them in stock.Best Regards:

The USA thread 3-48 ASME is another alternative.
It's 5.25 thou larger in diameter, but has the same 48 tpi as 3/32 BSW.

How many do you need Ken? I'll be in Singapore tomorrow and there's a screw shop that has an enormous range of screws, including a lot of old stock in odd sizes. I happy to wonder down there and see if he has any.

Thanks Chris..slotted round head is my priority, but a mix of whatever he has would be just as good.. 1/4 inch long would be max. about 20 should keep me in screws for a while
Appreciated.
Ken.
