    Round head.. more rounded than dome head I believe... cheese head would be fine also.. depends what is avail

    It would be good to have an alternative size in case he doesn't have the 3/32 BSW. The above two posts are in conflict though. According to Google 7BA is 52.92 tpi.

    3-48 would suffice.

    No joy, sorry Ken. The closest they had was 3-48 cap screws in black.

    Hello Ken,

    If the fixings are only available zinc plated then the zinc can be readily removed with phosphoric acid. BobL, our resident chemist ( amongst other titles ), put me onto Chemtech Rust-Off which has a higher concentration of acid than most other over the counter concoctions. Available from Bunnings and works very effectively at converting those garishly plated fixings to sombre "bright" steel.

    A search of a few UK-based screw suppliers leads me to suspect these things are unobtainable. Making them might be your only option Ken.
