    Could be a go/no go gauge, that's my guess

    Yep it's a thread for gauge, for 1/2 if if i read that right. .509 is a bit big for any on the normal fits though. Might be just a No go?

    Had never heard of a go/no go gauge before so googled it and it looks similar to a Plug Thread Gauge
    So thanks guys for pointing me in the right direction. I now know what it is, just have to work out what to do with it

    Looks like it's a no go gauge for Conduit, as that is 1/2" X 18 TPI. Could also be American UNS thread also, but that is .490 major diameter.
