Pretty simple idea, a PVC sleeve that wedges between the spindle nose and back of the ER collet nut. You tighten up the collet nut and compress the sleeve.
Would be pretty important to have the length correct, especially with how it's being done in that photo with the collet still in place. Would get a bit more thread travel if the collet was taken out first.
