    Default Tangential tool holder.

Whenever I use the tangential I find after a while the cutting tool slides down in the holder. Anybody have this happen?

I have found mine has slipped while doing some projects some times. In my case I put it down to the cutting bit losing its cutting edge because the material being cut was quite hard. I have had to "lay into" the hex bolt/clamp to stop it slipping. I think in frustration I ended up using a carbide cutter in another holder to get the job done.
    Just do it!

    Kind regards Rod

    Hi Rod,

Use some double sided adhesive tape underneath the clamp !

    Default Stop tangential from slipping

    I had that problem.

Here is how I fixed it.

My two capscrews and washers to hold the cutter are quite flimsy compared to many of the holding mechanisms I've seen on the web.

A bit of plain paper might even be enough, and will still allow the tool height to be adjusted easily.
