I get so frustrated when doing a small job with a few parts. The scenario goes that I have to, cut one bit then drill another bit then may be tap a thread. Between machines I lose the parts then spend ages trying to find them again.

I am collecting 2 liter ice cream buckets to put said parts in and then move ALL the parts from one machine to another to get the job done with out losing parts. Many a time after fruitless searching I have gone to SWMBO and say to her "Can you come out to the shed because I cant find a so-and-so. It's a blue thing with a green thing"......She usually says straight away "is this it?".....is it any wonder I get frustrated!!!!

After reading other's situations being the same as mine I take no consolation in it. I would just like to get those little jobs done with no frustration

Edited to add....I have just recently bout a couple of 300 mm steel rules as well as some 200 mm rules because even they sprout legs and hide.....could it be some Communistic plot to send us round the twist in our latter years?
    Just do it!

    Kind regards Rod

When pulling things apart, no matter how careful I am in placing the bits in containers so I won't lose them, one part always goes missing when putting back together. Grrrr.

I usually am working within swinging reach of machines and a bench where i can place stuff Losing stuff in the shedLosing stuff in the shed even with glasses on things seem to end up out of reach or gone pffft.
What would be the worst thing to loose in a shed? LOML she is my offsider my right hand help.

Other than loosing good mates tools can be replaced.

I'm always losing stuff in my shed. The table is my main storage area when I find everything I've lost (used and not put back). Karma is also getting back at me, my youngest kids love using hammers and pliers etc to break stuff up so I often come home to find the shed open and tools around the place with smashed up toy cars! My dad just laughs at me when I tell him about it.

Just spent an hour looking for the under house back door key. Not found it yet. Anyone know where it is? Can't find the spare either.

You never know, some of that stuff you misplaced in those two containers may reappear when you clean them out. With some more machinery coming you may have to keep them for storage.
