Default Source needed for long 3/8 - 20 tpi BSF bolts or allthread

I need to make a jig to pull the spindle out of the CVA and I'm having real trouble finding 3/8 - 20 tpi BSF allthread. I can make them but I'd prefer not to as I need them 7" long and dont have a travelling steady.

I anyone has long bsf bolts or a die I could borrow it would be much appreciated.

Or knows of somewhere that might stock obsolete allthread.

    Regards Ralph

There are usually BSF dies aplenty on eBay or aliexpress. The other thought is to make 2 or 3 pullers of different lengths, using a centre you could single point 60 to 80mm of 3/8 x 20tpi

Classic Fasteners list it, but are currently out of stock.

I will check tonight to see if I have a set of 3/8" BSF chasers for either of my Die Heads, I know I have some BSF just not sure on that size. If I do, I could thread some lengths of 3/8 material for you. Does the thread need to be 7" long? Do they need to be High Tensile?

Hi Techo, thats very generous of you, i need 7" of thread on a 9" length (last 2 inches can be any diameter) but the first 7 inches all need to be threaded, happy to trade anything needed or pay for your time.

Backup ill just buy a length of $60! allthread. although all the places that list it (thanks Kryn et al) all seem to have no stock.

    Regards - Ralph

I really doubt that you will find BSF allthread in Australia these days. The suppliers that list all variety of product on their website, but have no stock and probably never had any, really annoy me.

I did however find a set of 3/8" BSF chasers, now I just need to find some 3/8 material. Will mild steel be OK?
