Help needed, PLEASE.
I've been asked again to help in making some miniature Christmas Pageant displays.
This one is different to most, as it has a stationary centre piece, while the outer piece rotates. Usually I can find or obtain the bits required. But, this time I need the help of someone who can cut me a set of delrin gears, please? Asking as I don't have the tools available,YET!
I can supply the material and pay for your efferts in Delrin, as the display making efforts are done on a volunteer basis, I don't expect others to volunteer their time and efforts.
The pieces of Delrin I have to use are 118 mm diameter with a 66 diameter hole in the centre and 65 diameter and 40 mm long. If they could be cut the full length, I can cut them and that will give a set as a spare or for another display later on.
The gears will be slow turning, with the motor turning at 6 RPM and the display piece will be approx 2-3 RPM. The driver motor assembly is from a microwave, incase you're wondering where we get such slow turning motors.
The reason for using the gears, rather than a belt drive, is to make it easier to facilitate any repairs required from time to time. Little children love to touch the moving items and try to pick them up, if it was belt driven, the belt would come off. By using gears they would just drop back into place.
Thanks in advance,

What is the module or do required?
Does your longer piece have a centre hole?

Thanks pipeclay for the reply. The module or do? doesn't really matter as the gears will be working together, my thought is touse whatever is at hand.
Both pieces are 40 mm long with the 118 diameter having a hole approx 66 diameter, the 65 mm diameter piece has no hole, but would need to be drilled anyway, something around 9mm would be sufficient, size to be confirmed.
My request was to initialy find someone who was prepared to assist me.
Hope this helps,

You would be looking at something like 91/49 teeth with a 20 DP (DO) for your size material.
