'new posts'
This is probably in the wrong spot, however I am interested to see if it shows up in 'New Posts'
Sometimes when l reply to a post or start a new thread, it shows up in 'new posts' but quite often it doesn’t. I have noticed it happens to other people’s posts as well.
I quite like scanning through the 'new posts ' section however l can’t rely on it to show all new activity.
Am l expecting too much of the system or is it an issue that needs addressing?

Thanks for the reply Bob
That sounds fair enough for my own posts.

Sorry I should have said it also happens to any thread you have looked at but to which no new posts have been added since, as it assumes you do not want to see them again either. I find this usually is more helpful than not because it then means any threads that appears in the "new posts" section has at least one new post added to the threads listed.

Bob's remarks seem right to me.
In fact, my bookmark link to the forum is
//metalworkforums.com/search.ph...e=vBForum_Post
which takes me directly to anything I haven't see yet.
That's actually how I follow all forums I subscibe to.Cheers, Joe
