Yes I think you are on the money. The Aussie made Aladdins were a copy of the Swedish prototype. My oldest lantern is a 1933 Primus 1020 , it would have had a mica globe originally.

How are things going with this project morrisman? I'm interested as I now have a Tilley of my own to repair.
Since the nipple for the vapouriser is made of brass, maybe you could carefully peen the OD of the nipple and reduce the diameter of the jet, if you go too far, then you could re-drill the 0.15 jet
