    Default Test indicator for scraping

Hey all just wondering what you guys would recommend for a test indicator for scraping? I already have a 0.01mm Mitutoyo and I think I need something a fair bit more accurate.
Not sure whether to get micron or tenths, and also where to get it from.
This looks really good for the price but is there a chance it could be a Chinese copy? Mitutoyo 513-401E Dial Test Indicator 14mm/0.001mm Horizontal Type - Item No.:513-401E - Equipment, Rigol Oscilloscope,Rigol Oscilloscopes,Fluke multimeter,Ds1052e,Ads1102cal,Fluke t5-1000

No, 0.01mm is quite adequate for most work.
Gold, the colour of choice for the discerning person.

Use the same indicator you use to indicate anything else. There is no special "scraping indicator".
