Default Modifying Vincent HRD Rapide motorcycle drive shafts.

This modification adds an oil seal to the end of the drive shaft to eliminate one of the sources of oil leakage.<br>
These shaft are case hardened and required a tungsten carbide insert to rough out most of the material and a finishing insert to achieve the final size and finish.

What’s the point of a pommy bike without oil leaks.
I saw one the new Egli Swiss manufactured motors recently, what impressed me most was the starter motor.
    About $30k apparently.
The top spine of the frame was a cnc machined oil tank.
Just how oil tight it’ll stay with the mono shock anchored to the rear of it remains to be seen.
I’d post pics but if I did I’d have to kill you all.

That's pretty much like the standard Vincent arrangement, minus triangulation of the swinging arm.

No, I don't have a Vincent, a couple of friends of mine do.

I hope the pictures are there now.

Yep, they are. If ever a machine was described as beautiful, surely the Vincent engine was it. Left arm stuff!

An unusual aspect of Vincent's design compared to most motorbike engines is the rocker pivot shafts that aren't parallel to the crankshaft.
They are more similar to how aero radial engines have their rocker gear laid out, and gives the cylinder heads a distinctive look.
