    Default clever boring bar idea

    stole the picture from here, thought it was clever

    Shop Made Tools - Page 34

    Possibly makes it easier to keep track of where I am on the bore size when using the little adjustment screw on the boring bar ?

    It's not a bad idea, but I'd be looking at some way of putting a fine adjustment screw so I could easily zero out the dial gauge when I put it.

    Thanks Michael, good one, will be considered and pondered upon during idle moments, all suggested improvements welcomed before I have a go at it.

    Hi Guys,

    Neat idea, but I wouldn't want that lot spinning round at all. I would tend to use that device to calibrate the boring head adjustment screw !
