You might try an electrical repair place or a household appliance spare parts store.
Wife worked at an electrical tool repairers and they had a large range of brushes on the shelf and could often match brushes to the customer samples.

Hi,
Whenever I get stuck like this I get brushes that are of a size that I can sand down to suit and then use the original springs if they are not damaged. I know some brushes have tails in them ! These are easy to make with a little care drilling a suitable hole and pressing a ferrule crimped onto the braid into the hole. For small brushes 6 or 8 mm cross section I don't bother, preferring to rely on the spring pressure.

The worst that can happen is you will fail.
But at least you tried.

I can't find any big enough! I've scrolled through 100 on ebay. The dimensions are 19.5mm x 9.5mm x 22mm(long). Driving me mad!

Try Ashdown Ingram auto electrical supplies. I've found them very good the times I've been chasing brushes for vehicle starter motors and alternators.
I've always just gone into one of the stores with the parts I'm trying to match, but if its just brushes they may be able to match the dimensions over the phone.

Hi j3dprints,
I would buy these and not worry about them being slightly longer ! Half a millimetre off the sides is just a few rubs on some 120 grit sandpaper. Messy dust but hardly a big problem.
Another thing that I have done is rescued brushes from old generators in the scrap yard and sawn and filed them down to fit. I have some that are nearly 2 inches long, quite well worn at that. They are about half an inch thick and a little over an inch wide. In fact at the moment I'm using a pair cut from one of these salvaged brushes on my BF20 mill motor. The machinery dealers want an arm and both legs for a pair over here.Best Regards:
