What is it?
Came across this at a mates place , no body has ever been able to tell him what it is used for.
It appears to be some sort of trammel , maybe.
Anyone know what it is??

I don't think it is a trammel, looks too short for that and that label doesn't explain the other fittings attached.
I saw a very similar frame years ago to support laboratory glassware.
The frame was being used to to support a mml graduated tube with a tap to measure oil volume measure. The purpose was to calibrate combustion chambers on a GMH red motor cylinder head.
