Not over the line yet - although everyone was happy with the interview I still haven't got anything in writing...

That has a small work envelope - it's neither a small machine, nor is it lightweight. I transported one from Melbourne to Sydney for a friend of mine. Beautifully built machine.

I would have thought that the key criterion is for any selected machine to be portable, by one or no more than two people. Unless you happen to stumble on a Swiss gem, I think that a Sieg SC3 lathe would fit the bill, followed by a Sieg SX2... mini mill. I have both a Sieg C3 and a Sieg X2, both of which have been lifted and repositioned by me, with only minor injuries. They have the advantage of having lots of sensibly priced tooling available, spares "on the shelf" etc etc
    Just a thought!!
    cheers

At 480kgs, I suppose Arny and a couple of his friends might consider it 'portable'???

Bill, I had them too, couldn't get rid of it quick enough, POS machines, spent more time in pieces, than working.

I saw this this morning and as multi-function machines got a mention (although too big (and too pricey) for my use) thought it might be of interest to others.
