Be very careful of those dovetail recommendations to climb mill . The tools they are referring to are quit a bit more rounded and stronger than the 45 degree or 60 degree dovetail cutters commonly used by hobbists and CNC machines have full movement control in both feed directions . If you climb mill them on a sloppy manual mill the fine outer points will break off easily . I know I have broken a few that way . Stick with conventional milling and take light cuts .
Machine a slot first to ease the load on the cutter and to allow coolant to flood in and get swarf out . Try to avoid a dovetail that requires only one pass . Cutting on one side at a time is better .The volume of a pizza of thickness 'a' and radius 'z' is given by pi z z a.

Most of that info is for milling dovetail Oring grooves in a CNC mill.
