Anyone with a Hafco BS-4A Bandsaw
Long back story, but can anyone have a look at their BS-4A and tell me what bearings are on the blade guide?..

it's been a while but I'm sure they're just those cheapy skateboard bearings and they don't even seat on a ground surface its usually just a capscrew. and one fastener with a cam on the end to adjust the tension

Sort of.. whats killing me is I just waited 2 months for some parts for the saw and they are slightly different. I now have saw guide posts with a 9mm inner diameter where as in the past they have been 10mm..
Just want to make sure this is correct a 9461 bearing will work.. its 1mm shorter but I can deal with that with abit of tweaking

If needed I can pull mine BS 4A apart in the morning to give you the bearing number.
6021 seems to ring a bell but my memory is pretty carp these days. All six of them are the same.
I have already replaced the bearings since 2012 .I took the worn ones to the bearing service and they sorted it .I got metal shielded bearings to keep the crap out of them.

Told ya my memory was carp.
I pulled a bearing off today and under a an eyepiece it reads 629Z.
According to the bearing site that makes it 9 id ,26 OD and 8mmm wide.
I think the Z is the metal shield. Can't pull the bearing off the cammed spigot ( to measure ID ) as I broke the circlip expander point.
Good job though as the bearing is worn and requires a replacement.

Apparently 6202ZZ will also do the job as that's what is used on the equivalent model Grizzly.

Hey Grahame, Thanks for the research... Went down to the local bearing guy and got the bits needed.... Strange, although not totally surprising that these machines have seen a few facelifts/changes the Chinese seem love to change stuff unnanounced to suit what parts they have on hand

Its a good thing to know about spare parts changes then.
There are bandsaw inquiries coming up all the time here. Titbits of excellent info like that are really useful say when someone in a couple of years time is searching for info why their own bandsaw spare parts won't fit.
If you are one to upgrade or modify machinery tools there are quite a few posts in archives about all sorts of mods that can be done to the little 6 x 4 " horizontal unit.
As a metalworker the bandsaw is one of the most used tools in my workshop.
Thanks for the post.
