When I rebuilt mine Bursons stocked a kit with cups for ram & pump and gland packing but that was probably twelve years ago.

    kwijibo99,

Like I said I flushed it out several times with Kerosene yesterday.

Today I pulled the oil sump off and removed the inlet valve off the bottom of the pump. There was 1/4" sludge in the bottom of the sump and only a few drops of water. The inlet valve appears to be only a ball which closes off the port by gravity and flow depending on flow , although only checked by mouth this appeared to function ok. I inspected the pump body from below and there was no water , corrosion or sludge present and the bore looked ok. I had something come up which prevented further investigation , but Im hoping to check it out further tomorrow.

I got a quote for parts today from Maxon Maxon Machinery Company on (02) 49506611 - Neil Adams was the guy I was speaking with.

The oil reservoir is the square metal box located beneath the pump handle.
Depending on the model, if you look down on it from above you will see a hole through which it can be topped up.
    Cheers,
    Greg.

Thanks for the quick reply now to get to the hard work of stripping the ugly yellow paint off and stipping down and restoring
