Lathe Knife Tool and Boring Tool Sharpening
Whilst it was my intention to publish one video a week, I have decided that I would like to bring the process to an earlier conclusion. Primarily, so that the series will be finished before the summer.
Therefore, this week, I am making two videos available, also doing this until all the videos have been published in early May.
The videos this time are.
Lathe Knife Tool Sharpening and lathe Boring Tools Sharpening, links to both can be found here, Grind Rest, Advanced

Are you only here to flog your video's?
I don't believe I've ever seen you participate in a normal thread. But feel free to use our Forum for your own personal promotion.
Spambot.

I Will try to be brief Matchtool
I do not get paid for my videos
They are to help the large number (200+) of workshop owners who have made one of my grinding rests.
I have to share my time between 30 forum who visit my website
On average I get 500 links to my website every month, almost all from forums, and can only follow a small number of them back to the original comments and participate.
You may like to look at the following two links.

Machtool, Metaler is offering these videos for zip, perhaps they may help someone realize a project. I don't see too many of your projects on the forum that don't self promote. I have never made anything from Harold Hall's series, never even read his books, but there are plenty on this forum that welcome his plans.
From my point of view his tips and plans are as welcome as anyone elses, at least he is helping, what's your claim to fame, other than self promotion?
Keep at it Harold, you are actually helping those that value your input. Good on you!

Harold Hall is a name that would be as familiar Mr Pete to a huge number of metal men all over the world. Both have great experience and are quite happy to pass that knowledge on. They cater for the "amateur" as well as more experienced folk. Both chaps have videos as well as web sites to get the info. Both blokes don't have big egos to keep pumped.
Just do it!
Kind regards Rod

This is the first 8 I could find. All released the same week. Tell me again how that's not spam. End of the day. We end up selling a book.
I would have thought actual participation in any forum grants you some rights. This bloke has never lifted a finger, to participate here. Just like he has NOT done in the other 19 forum's.
These are all link's, same as was cut and pasted into here.

Read post # 8, by Mr. Hall himself. http://madmodder.net/index.php/topic...sg141892.html?

Stuff me but one of the spam posts was on mig-welding.co.uk. Does that not tell you anything? Those welder's really need to know how to sharpen an end mill.
In summary, you are a spambot fraud. And I don't care what the fan boi's say. You have never participated here. And we are one of twenty forums where you have dropped into.

I agree with Machtool, anyone wishing to be really helpful would not link to the vids via a website that advertises their books.
Whether it's intended or otherwise this looks to me like a sneaky way just to get traffic to their website.
To avoid this the posts should contain only links direct to the you tube vids and preferably as new vids become available post all the links in the same thread to minimise forum clutter.
Now that would be a useful resource for this forum.

It would help "machtool" if you read my added comments to this thread and followed the links, as you haven't then here they are again
WIP Sharpening Jig from H Hall Milling Book
Harold Hall rotary table
With a very large number having made my grinding rests, how would you suggest I attempt to tell them of the videos I have produced to help them. I would be interested to know.
Those are my last words to you.

Thanks, for yet another 2 plugs for your books.
Yes, we all followed your links. And you somehow managed to link them just one more time for good measure. They all end up at buying your book.
Surely it's intrinsic, a rule, an unwritten rule, for any forum, to advertise / self promote, you should ACTUALLY participate. You can buy an Add here if you want to sell something.
You haven't lifted a finger here to participate. Just like the other 19 forums you self promoted in. Mig Welding dot Co dot UK http://www.mig-welding.co.uk/forum/t...g-rests.70820/ You have to be kidding. Have you no shame. MIG welders need End mill sharpening?
We have to protect the students that come here, take it up with me on P.M, another site you Spammed. I can tell by looking at your profile, you haven't bothered to go back there, since you dumped in your cut and paste

and all those post refer users back to your website for more info
now i dont have an issue if you want to get the word out to people about your videos but it does seem strange to me that you release the videos one or two at a time especially if you have to do it each time to 20 different forums that you have trouble remembering how to use and start a new topic for each one
smells like marketing to me
cheers
Harty
