    Default What Type Of Paint For A Lathe.

    What type of paint would you use for a lathe?

    I saw this on lathe on ebay, the seller used Sikkens Ceramic 2 pack paint, I have been searching google cant find much about it, of course not available in my area

    I would just use a gloss enamel of a light red colour suitable for machinery .
    Gold, the colour of choice for the discerning person.

    I still think the Wattyl Kilrust range is pretty good stuff - single pack too. It's on my lathe, was on my previous mill and was on the shaper too and still doing well. It can be sprayed but will brush on reasonably well too.

    Hammertone. Looks industrial, wears well and best of all super easy to touch up.
