Default Worth a laugh - fresh painted ways on for-sale lathe

Unless I have it wrong, the ways on this lathe are painted! Do you think they knew what they were doing?

There's nothing a good coat of paint can't fix.

The worst that can happen is you will fail.

Been a few of these posted. I recall posting a pic of a pretty big lathe that was done like this in orange paint.

Maybe the paint was evaporated on in a vacuum and is exactly 1 molecule thick.

Girl, I don't wanna know about your mild-mannered alter ego or anything like that." I mean, you tell me you're, uh, super-mega-ultra-lightning babe? That's all right with me. I'm good. I'm good.
