Default Supplier for thin (4-6mm OD) copper or brass tubing

    Hi all,

Would anyone have any advice as to where I can get thin copper or brass tubing? Solid rod is also OK. Looking at around 30 m of it for a project. I am located in Melbourne.

Most places seem to have the standard sizes, 19mm and a 12.7mm minimum.

    Thank you,

    Steven.

If it's tubing you are after, look up 'special shapes' or 'votaw tool company', both in the USA. They have large stocks, generally in 1m lengths.

Don't forget about the model engineering hobby shops.
Live steam locos rely on copper and brass tubing of all sizes, generally in 300 mm lengths or rolled lengths.

refrigeration wholesalers will have copper tube from 3/16, 1/4, 3/8 etc and upwards.
refrigeration tubing is cleaned and dehydrated as opposed to standard copper tube one gets at the plumbing and or hardware store, (but they probably dont have anything below 1/2)...and you pay a small premium for it.
they also have capillary tubing..... micro id size stuff up to larger id
