Why not just go to the Grizzly USA web site and go through their list of lathes. I am sure you will find a copy of it there. Will have a different model no.; but that's no big deal.

Yes I looked at that list. I think they are mostly newer machines. Mine's 32 years old.
Well this is what it looks like. Bought it a few days ago.

First thing I need to do is replace that belt but how do I get it out ?

There is also a 32T and a 30T gears missing if anyone knows where I can get them from ?

You could chop the belt and get one of them linked belts.
Take a sample gear around to Hare and Forbes and see if they match with one of the machines on the floor. Your lathe is likely an ancestor of the 'new' machines.

I see Maxon Machinery are advertising an AL350A.

Maybe contact them and see if they have the manual for it and would be prepared to send you a copy.

Phaser,
We are all good blokes and happy to help .
Changing that belt will mean the disassembly of the headstock.
Are you sure you need to change that belt? If there is only slippage there, it is probably an adjustment connected with the cam arm to tighten it. I can't see a manufacturer designing a drive like this and leaving the user to to perform major surgery when a belt slips.
Ask this belt change question in the Hercus Forum as I am sure one the blokes there must have done this as the big 250mm Hercus lathe has the same design.
Mick Moyle Engineering Supplies has a shopful of parts and may have the parts you seek.

As far as the manual goes someone who has a manual (give it time-it might be a week or two ) may login and see this.
The manuals for the newer generic lathes are pretty awful and not much better than a rough assembly and parts manual. That is why the blokes were nudging you towards a Grizzly manual. There are good quality manuals and a free download.
Even if you find a similar belt driven model the safety and operation info is well worth having.
Enquiries re this model come up once in a while and there are a couple of members who I recall have posted, but the lathe is pretty old and if the manual is of the same poor quality as some of the current manuals, the owners may have not bothered to keep them.
However we have generous souls here who in the past have disassembled their own machinery to gain information for a poster.

Looks like you would just need to drop the drive pulley spindle ,back gear spindle and headstock spindle.
Would probably pay to replace all bearings whilst the headstock and other spindles are pulled.
Are there any markings on the gears that might indicate the size of them, you may also want to make a drawing of one of the gears that you have as all dimensions bar the OD should be the same.

What a shame with Moyles current web site. Used to be that it had a very good itemised list and price list. There were a number of items I was looking at. Now just a lot of deadend headings; and an invitation to drop by.
Sorry sunshine; a 1500km return trip drop by is not on my list of things to do. Obviously they are not interested in the online business. Funny how I can place an online order for a $950 delivered item from the US and get it in 6 days; but aussie stores can't be bothered.

Thanks.
I know this forum is excellent, that's why I joined. I have already been a little involved in the woodwork one.
The old belt still seems to work ok but is cracking and very worn. The wear has made the belt varying in thickness so it causes the machine to shake a little. I just changed the motor belt because that made the machine shake a lot.
I bought a few thing from Mick Moyle's, never thought of them for the gears. I'll give them a call tomorrow.
