Sorry, it doesn't really help. I assume it's a 40 taper and likely an ER32 collet, but without a picture of the collet holder, the internal taper and - ideally - a collet, we're all guessing.
You can buy a brand new 40 taper ER32 collet chuck for less than $100, and a full set of collets for $62 when they're on special. I bought a cheap set off eBay and am quite happy with them.

Hi justron,
Hard to be sure from your photo, but it doesn't look like an ER32 collet chuck to me.
Here are some photos of the NT30 / ER32 collet chuck that I use in my RF45 mill. Bought from CTC tools in HK.DSC04718.JPGDSC04719.JPGDSC04721.jpg
Hope they might be of some use in figuring what you have.

Thanks for the replies. The collets are straight, 32mm diameter and approximately 68mm l0ng.

I have what appears to be the same chuck, obtained surplus from an engineering firm some years ago. The collets are all marked "ER32" and are metric sizes. Will this help to widen your search? Regards,

The trouble with those Nikken chucks is the collets are not easy to find but critical to their operation, and that's assuming that the chuck is not excessively worn/damaged (that is, it still grips properly). It may be a far easier and cheaper thing to buy a ER32 chuck and collet set and use that. There are also meant to be some large C spanners with the chuck too, so if you haven't got them, there's more expense and wallet pain. The collets are similar to 5C collets where a different collet is required for each discrete size, so you will need both metric and imperial if you use both metric and imperial sized cutters.
I have a Nikken quick-change set and after trying to find a replacement have discovered that Nikken made several similar styles of collets but only one fits the chuck. Unless you know exactly what you are looking for, ebay may not be your friend.

I have some of the Nikken parallel collet chucks and quick changes and really like using them. A good industrial engineering retailer should be able to get the Nikken collets. I have also found some chinese copies of them but they are not quite as accurate. You do need a c spanner. I have found it best to buy a kit with the collets and have been lucky to find them used, in good condition and nearby. I also have some adaptors for the 1 1/4" chuck that has 1 1/4" mandrels with drill chucks and MT adaptors on them. They are even easier to use than the quick change!!
I will try and find where the parallel collets where and I will post that for you.
