    Default Schaublin Lathe 102-VM

I was at a small business near Blacktown today and spied the lathe gathering dust behind some boxes and equipment.
When I commented I was told the lathe had not been powered up (3-phase) since being swapped for something.
Apparently it is too short for any work that they could have for it.
It has a 3-jaw and a Dickson style QCTP with one holder.
When I enquired as to tooling and extras, the cupboard was bare.

The owner would like to dispose of it and I suggested he put it on e-bay.
The question is, what is a reasonable price to start ?

I won't identify the business, but the owner is happy to talk to bona fide enquirers.
    Please PM me for details.

    Likely condition decides price.

On ebay there is a search old sales facility. Probably a start for pricing.

This lathe is complete, but not connected.
    It looks operational.
You got me on the belt drive.
The lathe I saw had the headstock covered up, perhaps there is a hatch that lifts up to get to the belt.
It seemed to have the carriage sliding on ways protected by a cover of some sort.
I would say condition was average.
The lack of any tooling or accessories means it will probably only appeal to a confirmed card-carrying Schaublin aficionado.
