What RPM is the machine there to be used on good and what type of cutting would you intend doing with them.

A general opinion would only be based on what someone else has used them for.

I feel unless you know what you will be doing with them anyone's opinion is really null and void.

That is pretty cheap. I don't have them but use similar cutters at work. You need a pretty rigid mill to use cutters like that successfully. I don't know what mill you have but i wouldn't use them in a hobby mill.

You need rigidity, HP and decent spindle speeds to get the best out of them.

IOW if you have an RF45 type mill, don't bother.

    Default cva

My little CVA die sinking mill might handle those indexible cutters OK . From what I have read online: another CVA owner has written "it is a very rigid machine" It will spin up to 3000rpm in its standard configuration and I am fitting a higher HP motor to the CVA . Anyway 'Welder' who also has a CVA may comment on his experiences.

I have a 16mm one of those that I bought from CTC some years ago. It works OK for light cuts on a Hafpos HM52 at my max speed of 2400RPM. Doesn't leave a great finish but does remove metal. I figure that a pair of inserts are way cheaper than a 16mm HSS cutter.

I tried the 12mm holding it in ER collet but was very dissatis3ed. This was mainly because I didnt have enough preload in the mill spindle ,So after I fixed that problem, I went about work holding differently,I took the 25 mm cutter and.machined the end to MT3 and tapped it M 12. That worked better and I could take a 2.5 mm cut
