    Default a hammer

Dad had this hammer for ages..I remember it from when I was about 14/15 and when he passed I scored it
It has always been like it is in the first pic...one head only...I have no idea what was supposed to be on the other end..alloy, copper brass or poly

I had always thought about what to do with it and while casting some sinkers I had a brain fart...thats what it was cos it didnt work...cast a bit of lead around around that other end easy as????
the lead head just kept coming loose

then while doing some auto elect soldering work I thought ah ah will that work...tin the end first

and what do you know....it worked...several good hits on a big lump of steel has proven

It might have been a leather roll, like this,

Here is my take in it

    Other end.

you want to make me one Bobl...that is beautiful...

very quickly dismissed leather as it just seemed too hard...I was after a quick fix
and cork didnt even enter into the equation...

I was thinking lead on one end and a leather roll on the other.

Here's another with brass and ally ends - a piece of threaded SS rod runs between the two ends.
