    It may work perfectly well for you. My even cheaper and nastier one is going str9ing and in frequent use.
    Howver, be aware that the exression "solid state" in the ad does NOT mean it's an inverter type welder - it just refers to the fact that there are moving parts in the 30+kg transformer inside it....

    Hi for your first welder I would suggest that you buy direct for a tool shop outlet like total tools or similar. This way at least you will bee able to see what you are buying rather than buying from a picture on the net.
