    Default Sine Bars

    Just for you BT
Here are some pics melbournes of my "new" sine bar and small set of blocks. The blocks have seen better days, they are badly scratched and some needed a hit on my surgical black arkansas stone to remove some burs. The bar has a few rust spots on one side but the rolls and top face are clean. Cheap gauge block set here i come......

I would just post them in the tool gloat thread, but i was hoping that some of you may wish to share the ways you use your sine bars. I'd especially like to see some more details of the jig Bruce uses to set his lathe compound.

    Thank you Ewan.

I can't comment much about the use of the Placentian mini sine bar because the only work it has done in my presence has been posing for photos. Hardly call that work.

Some people get paid lots of money for doing just that Bob!

Mr pete222 has 2 vids on sine bars, they are fairly informative but i reckon there must be some better ideas out there as to how to hold the bars in place whilst traming.
