    Damn Mike,
    What a great score.
You could start a small "jobing shop" of your own with that lot.
    Well done.

    Hi

I only bought the CASH mill and the chuck and wheels and some cast iron

It was a local sale ..but gees . I could have bought all that stuff for you guys ..but it had to be moved ..the property has been sold .... deadline etc. That shaper weighed 2 tons at least .... The CASH mill is single phase and is smallish.. the other stuff was all BIG and HEAVY

The old MACSON lathe went for $300 in good nick .. but it had been partially pulled apart..I found the leadsscrew leaning against a mill .. I picked it up and placed it near the MACSON. BTW the saddle was missing .. the apron was with it on the floor

The rotary table I wanted ..but it got away and was too expensive for me ...

I have to ask how do you find all these clearance sales?

    Hi Andre

This sale was well advertised ..in TOMM magazine, the internet and newspapers..

I was surprised that more people didn't turn up, considering its not far from Melbourne . The Big stuff was sold last , by that time many people had left .Near the end only about 12 people were around the auctioneer .... he was actually reminding the crowd to pay attention as stuff was being sold while they were talking to friends , not paying attention .

That French lathe was an absolute steal .... but where could I put it ? Outside in the rain .

The auction sorters didn't have a clue which parts went with what machines . They sold a cuboard full of stuff in one go ... A lathe saddle and topslide was on a outside table ... it sold for $5 ..god knows what it came off . MIKE

Nice score Mike, those mill drills always seem to go for high prices for some reason.

    Hi Mike,
I nearly came for a drive to that auction.
The only thing that stopped me was I had all 4
Of my kids and 2 of them are under 8 years old.
It would have been too big of a day for them, and me
    To be quite honest.
plus the last auction netted me enough for awile. Remembering
I have to move accross state soon, and the more I have in the
Shed the dearer it will be.
    Good score by the way.
