Sieg C3 lathe micro mod
Well, it's hardly even a micro-mod...
I've been annoyed at how the cross-slide nut screw holes sit on top of the cross-slide and fill with gunge, meaning a dig-and-pick-out effort if you need to adjust the nut.
During a cleanup, I found a set of hollow punches I'd bought years ago from "Wally's World", and found a use for them.
I punched three appropriately sized wads out of an old scotch scrubber, and tamped them into the holes.
Thought some other C3 (or similar) owners may find this useful.
Cheers,
Andrew

Good idea, this would apply to most lathes, my Chinese one has Allen head bolts on the cross slide and well as holding the saddle to the apron. They are always filling with swarf.
