Need help identifing cast iron chair ends
Hi all,
I recently picked up two cast iron chair ends, I was told they were maybe old theatre seats by the lifting action of the bottom section.
On the side of one of the ends is stamped 'E.J. Forbes, Sydney'
I am looking for any information or photos on how they worked originally, were they may have come from, what the top section is used for (table?), material used for the seat.
Any help would be great.
