    Easy center height adjustment.

*though at least the message has changed and it doesnt have us looking for buttons that arent there. Anyone know if we ever will be able to? I want to add a follow up to my DIY power scraper thread.

Seems to be a forum policy that you cant bump threads older than 1 year. Keeps it all new and fresh.

You could always start a new thread, with a link to the old one, and continue on.

Prac Machinist doesn't have that policy. I often read 30 replies to a thread, only to get to the bottom, to find its some dirty spambot that has dredged up a thread from 2004, because the subject contains what they are trying to sell.

    Regards Phil.

    Hi Phil,
I guess that all makes sense, just that I dont really have that much to say and a new thread seems a little over the top.

    Hi Phil,
Just been through it all. There is exactly 1 T bolt

You must have the beste qualitaet model there Stu. The Ifanger featured in my photos is absent the adjuster. Sadly, it resides in another's shed not mine.

I have had Ifanger as a saved Ebay search for a couple of years. Other than a too large version being offered for sale in New Zealand, there have been no sightings. The German firm Comet also made a variation of the tangential tool -
This old Tool - Anyone familiar with Comet-FGII 55º and 60º threading tool? Again, a bit large for my bitty lathe.

Did I mention a price? No. I bought them knowing they wouldn't fit my machines, thinking they might be of use to one of you blokes.
There are 9 bolts Phil. You could lose a couple to partner up the orphans.

    Hi BT,

We got the parts manual last week, from Herr Singer, and Josh now has the Deckel head in bits, so, yes, we've been looking and pondering, but the Meca rotary table restoration has to be finished before we can look at the head... meantime Josh and I have been making a Ball turner, because we need handles for the Meca... ( hop on the merry-go-round... and round and round we go.... )

    Regards
    Ray

In your abridged version of Wrench's DVD, amongst the technical bulletins, Deckel illustrate the use of a FP-... mounted Wohlhaupter UPA-3 as a ball turner. Might have saved you some work but then I guess your -3 is in transit and if you need to make handles to make the Meca operational to ...... you've got to do what you've got to do. There certainly is a lot of circle work involved in this hobby Ray.

Bob, I intend to mount a conventional boring head in the manner you describe, it's just been down on the list of priorities. A universal B+F head is really a bit of an overkill for that purpose. It should be a relatively straight forward project, really nothing more than a spindle on which to mount the boring head with a handle attached to it. An overhand ball turner has a number of advantages, the main one I'm looking for is the ability to turn Old-Skool handles with the ball in the centre.

    Pete
