Hi Elan,
The standards are a fixed length ! Its the bar that fits in the head unit that can be adjusted for length. Anyway the one you have is digital, so it becomes self calibrating. Simply use the standard between the bar and end reference and then zero the read out. My Moore & Wright is mechanical so the measuring bar has to be adjusted and then fine adjustment is done with a "C" spanner. Actually two of them, to lock the nuts together.Best Regards:

Ah that makes much more sense. Tesa doesn't provide adjustment on the anvils, even on their analogue models, they basically go with "we get it right so you don't have to". That does mean that if one out of the set is damaged or lost you have to replace all of them.

Picked up a nice Invicta 4m 18” shaper today.
Can add it to the collection of machinery I struggle to find the time to use.
I’m pretty sure the hilux has had easier days. 38c outside and a fairly flexible tub made for an interesting drive home.

Been a while since I scored something worthy of posting at reasonable price $55 the lot. A stash of metal for future projects
1"sqx2mL bar
38mmx2mL round looks to be old roller of some sort.

Good score, we don't know how good of a score without what it cost you. It will certainly come in handy though.
It's funny when I have stock, I seem to build projects around what I have on hand, lol
Last good deal I got was a good size anvil for $350 to replace the one I lost in me separation 7-8 years ago.
Thinking about it though, the neighbor just dropped off 2x 1.5m lengths of 19mm hex for free. We do things for each other so not really a gloat. Works out well for each of us.Using Tapatalk

A quick spray and scrub got it looking like new again.
It seems to be in very good condition. All running on a vfd and making cuts.

Dave See edited in BLUE for $$ I won't call it a steal or is that steel but a damn good deal if I'd gone to scrap metal or merchant easy 4 times that.
Skyt nice score I made a cold chisel out of some of that 40+ yrs ago just had it re-shaped last week while at h&F with the blacksmiths needs re-tempering yet.
