Looking for recommendations on where to buy bi metal 1727 X 12.7 X 0.65MM bandsaw blade, H&F only have carbon blade in my size.
They are for a BS-5S bandsaw.

Seeing where you live you can't walk in and buy any. My linisher uses the 1220mm ones, so I usually get them from Blackwood's. Every trip I get a different brand as they get whatever is available. TradeTools opens up here soon and they carry my length so I might see some consistency soon.
Sorry I can't give you any better info.

I’ve been buying my zirconia linishing belts online from Smith and Arrow.
Seem to last well and no breakages etc.

I buy my bi metal blades and 72" belts on ebay! Both have been fine in regards to quality. Smith and Arrows gear is cheaper through ebay for postage btw.

Last couple of blades I’ve put through my saw have been the cheapest carbon steel blades that General Tools had in stock, what I’ve come to learn is I get about the same life span, accuracy of cut and about a 60% saving in purchase

Linishing belts I use 3M cubitron for pretty much anything that uses an abrasive consumable now. More expensive yes, but the life span is worth more than the extra cost.

I tried a few S&A belts and discs just after they became a forum sponsor, underwhelming is the term I would use.

After seeing the price difference between bi- metal and carbon steel I reckon I will carbon steel.
I cannot find my linisher size in 3M cubicton, 914 x 50 and 180 mm disc probably out there somewhere but google is not helping me.
