AXA quick change toolpost on AL960B
Does any body use an AXA quick change toolpost on a AL960B Lathe ? and what is a 9x20 lathe or is this jargon in the industry ?
any help appreciated

Unless you have allready got the AXA you would find the BXA better suited to that size lathe.
The 9x20 you refer to is the size of the Lathe,not jargon in that sence more a base standard.

Some people go for the AXA where other find the BXA is better.

I just have a look around the web and found this one. It looks like it comes with a AXA tool post.

I have an AXA
I have an AXA on my Al960.
It is similar in bulk to the stock toolpost and works well for me.
On occasion when I want to use a larger shank tool I just put the original post back on
I made up a special stud to suit the AXA and my lathe (which had a tapped hole in the topslide rather than a T-slot- apparently a new variant according to H+F)
I was concerned that the bulky BXA might get in the way with little stuff
