Huge gantry mill getting installed at Man diesel
Found this and thought I would pass it on, it's massive and a lot of work installing it.

Stuart,
You could machine your shed out of solid block with that machine.
Mm.

Or maybe Stuart and Ken could save money by buying the block in bulk!

That is ruckin refarkable.

You could start scraping on it as a beginner, and be a seasoned expert by the time you where finished.
I couldn't get over the engine blocks it was machining at the end.
Stuart,
I like the sound of a billet shed. You would never be the only guy in the neighborhood with one, because the neighborhood would have to move out to install it. LOL

Talking about billet sheds, someone should invent a big plastic shed, say container size.
"Just plonk it down there, no, maybe over there". "And I'll have the clip-on extension".

Cool video. That machine is a lot bigger than the one being installed at work. Compared to the one in the video it is a baby with a bed of only 20000mm with the gantry having two spindles. New to me will be the ability to drop the high speed spindles (aluminium work) and put in low speed spindles (steel and titanium) very much the way a tool holder is changed. It will be a compliment to the 58000mm bed length 4 gantry, 2 and 3 spindle machine we've had for over 20 years.

Well theres certainly enough room on the block here to put the shed. Watching the neighbors lights dip every time I started it might upset em a bit tho. Certainly would be bragging rights around here. Would have to employ someone just to clean up the swarf...... Ok now back to reality.
Frisky wife, happy life. Then I woke up. Oh well it was fun while it lasted. From an early age my father taught me to wear welding gloves . "Its not to protect your hands son, its to put out the fire when u set yourself alight".

Even better would be to machine your new shed out of a billet of titanium.. Never rust, very strong....
Back to the video..... I wonder who gets to clean the windows in that shed when they get spattered with coolant
