Now I wish I hadn't asked It looks like I'm faced with the task of convincing my wife that a stopover in HK would be preferable to Kuala Lumpur on our way to Germany in October. Unless you know of some discount tool shops in Berlin or Munich.

Can't help with KL Bob, but Singapore is also a good spot for specific tooling, just not as concentrated as HKG. By the same token, what I haul back from there may be very different to others, simply by virtue of the fact I'm up in both locations often. To give you an example, I typically buy all my metric fasteners up there, simply because they're a fraction of the price of somewhere like, cringe, "Bunnings". On the other hand buying a few nuts and bolts isn't exactly newsworthy for somebody who only has the opportunity to go there intermittently and is likely to go hunting for bigger ticket items. My Bessey clamps, a swag of Metabo power tools, even a Record 52 1/2 bench vice has found its way back to Australia courtesy of my Delsey (heavy hauler) suitcase At that time I was actually travelling to Frankfurt for work, but bought the German tools on the way back in Singapore as they were actually cheaper than I ever found them in Germany!

Thats what I thought when I read it the other day, unless your over their it wouldn't be much good to the rest of us.

For some of us the shopping list would be far less than the ticket over their. I would be stuffed if I went anyway, because I don't speak the language and don't want to learn it either. I have enough trouble understanding the tele marketers on the phone.
Do the guys you go to have a website so we can buy from over here?

Over $100 to post a set of $87 collets seems a bit rich. I enquired about the validity of the freight cost and never got a response.
    Cheers.

Like the other members have said, just add to check out and it will show the price. If you click on the total price you can change currencies.

Air freight is expensive. If you are wanting heavier gear it is better to get a bigger order together and ask for sea freight instead.

    Default Not real happy

I see CTC prices are slowly rising. The NT30/22mm face mill arbour used to be $20, and now they are up to $25. I know they are still cheaper with postage than H&F's but I wonder if they will stop or keep going up.
    NT FACE MILL ARBOR #F37
Also it was mentioned here that the face mills have also gone up in price.

I suppose he has ebay and word of mouth advertising out there, and has plenty of customers, so he can bump the price up a bit.

Lucky the Aussie dollar is up.
