Girl, I don't wanna know about your mild-mannered alter ego or anything like that." I mean, you tell me you're, uh, super-mega-ultra-lightning babe? That's all right with me. I'm good. I'm good.

Was looking at the Max-Pro website, I know they may have just grabbed some stock photos to use on their website but one of the pictures on their website is on my wish list but I'll be honest that I don't know exactly what the industry calls them or where to buy them at a good price

Gang Cutters.
Hi Simon,
I believe that they are called "Gang Cutters" or rather "Side and Face cutters" ganged onto a single arbour. That picture looks like its cutting slots in a table prior to having the "T" milled. I've seen something similar at a machinery exhibition in Manchester UK, a couple or so years ago.Best Regards:

As stated above Side and Face cutters ganged together.
Were you particularly after indexable , cemented carbide or HSS.

Hi Guys,
You may recall that I lamented about 8 imperial tons of similar cutters being sent to scrap. From previous visits I remember seeing rack upon rack of those sort of cutter, both HSS and insert ones. I mentioned a skip full of chucks, jaws and arbours ! Sadly that has now gone. The area is now occupied by wooden crates of, I assume machinery. A couple of container loads I would think.Best Regards:

Anybody bought from Mag-Pro recently ?
Hey,
Anybody purchased anything from Mag-Pro recently, some of the prices look great but am unable to login or even join up as a new account.
I tried sending them an email a while back and no answer. Am I using the right website ?

He is also on eBay https://www.ebay.com.au/str/mgmachietoolsaccessories
Might be issues with the website or he could be on holidays still. Try sending a message through eBay.

I've also bought stuff from their website and haven't been disappointed so far. An ER32 'Jo' Block came close though. The block was really well made and the finish was great, almost polished, but the 12 chamfered edges behind the ER32 nut were just crudely filed. I bought a 160mm dia. round magnetic chuck which looked great. Mounted it on a spare D1-3 back plate and get about .01mm t.i.r. Now waiting for 'precision 100mm vice'.

Bump October 2019
I'm looking for a decent lathe / milling tool supplier of mid to upper range quality. I'm based in Perth Western Australia. At the moment I'm chasing MT3 Collet chuck set, centre drills and end / slot drills. I can get everything local from H&F, but would like to save a few $$$ for more goodies. Any positive recommendations would be much appreciated. Cheers.

Imports.
Hello from Bernie.
I bought some imperial M42 tool bits from Victor machinery in USA. The price was soooo low I put up a ? When they arrived the packet stated made in China. . So I ground the first bit and used it in my shaper on rough steel plate. The working life is amazing, tool edge holds well. It is the hardest to grind tool steel I have seen in 50 yrs of use. Delivery is OK in $.

Has anybody bought one of the 6 or 8" milling vices from M&G Productions? Very cheap but not worth much if the tolerances are not tight.
I see they sell the Create multi-fix tool posts. Do they not make everything they sell?
Are you buyers generally happy with their stuff? I ask as I need to order a heap of cutters and collects.

Find Karl Robbers recent thread about looking for a vice. Quite a bit of info in there.

I think the only thing he actually makes is drills. IMO the drills aren't that great but I've been happy with most of the other stuff. His prices on create were good, better than factory and less shipping.
