Thread: aluminium

I need to make some heatsinks consisting of 60-65mm ID tubing and a 6-10mm circular insert. At the moment I am looking for price ranges of what I should expect to pay and Adelaide suppliers OR interstate if they are reasonably priced.
I'm going to probably make 30ish so I am not after huge lot.
Planning to cut the circles with a hole saw on a drill press and possibly sanding.
An aluminium leg will be threaded into the plate.
The external finish is likely to be powder coating if it's cheap enough. If not paint.

For my use it's not a problem. I may do another finish depending on price but the size is dictated by the fitting I need, not thermal load. With Air flow I can get away with one or two Square cm as a minimum.
