A rupture of a hose or part can send a small stream of hydraulic oil strong enough to cut skin. There are some grizzly images on the net of said injuries.

I concur Michael, a 64mm hose can be a handful with one, two or even three people!

this is actually where they got the idea for those needleless vaccination guns that are used for mass vaccinations

Hydraulics usually operate at higher pressures, but even so I was told that water under pressure can also result in amputation.

That's full bore. I don't usually run it at that pressure. I usually have the dump valve set to about 3000 psi. With 4000 psi and a needle 0 deg nozzle, it will remove paint and groove fence posts. Not very helpful for most applications but when used properly with a 30 deg nozzle or the rotating patio nozzle, it's a ripper for cleaning driveways or even pavers.

I'm not buying what you're selling! For that amount of work, I need to know more. I suggest you ring him up right now and get more info. Just tell him Simon wants to know!

A neighbour gave me a brass windmill pump to thread each end... Is 3 1/2" ID... I have always been meaning to make a pipe centre, but never got around to it...

For a short term solution I made up this to fit into the live chuck I have for the tailstock... It is 125mm OD.... ground all over on the cyl grinder...
