It looks like a neat solution, but I'm wondering if they are really a good idea.
How can you be certain it will run true to the spindle? As it's a direct screw on type, there's no scope for correcting the fit. I don't think the spindle's parallel register can be relied upon, as they are often quite a loose fit, relying on only the threads to hold concentricity.
Not as compact, but maybe it's better to use the type with a round plate and a spigot. The fitted backing plate system as per normal lathe scroll chuck practice will ensure concentricity, as long as the spigot on the chuck is true.

I would have thought a quick touch up of the tapered surface, once fitted to the spindle, would ensure concentricity.

er32 collets and chuck
depending on the length of the workpiece would a mt3 with a drawbar be a better idea. I use one on my vertical mill which has the same taper. Not much good for long work pieces but there are other options for that. As I have said before I am a novice so please feel free to correct me.

The great advantage of the spindle nose or backplate mounted ER32 chucks over the 3MT ones for lathe use is that they will allow you to mount long workpieces which can pass through the lathe spindle.
Since you already have the collets and collet nut from your existing chuck it is very easy to make a chuck for your threaded spindle nose provided that your lathe can cut its own spindle nose thread pitch and a 1.5mm pitch thread for the collet nut.
The photo is an ER32 chuck made for an old Brackenbury and Austin lathe with a very uncommon 1 5/16 x 10TPI spindle.
Since the 8 degree internal taper for the collets is cut while the workpiece is mounted on the lathe on which the chuck will be used, the taper will be truly concentric with the lathe spindle.
