Is a con VFD output voltage
I just bought the cheapest VSD on eBay a mistake I know. turns out it's an Isacon 1.5kw I tried to set it up tonight and .. . Nothing the motor makes the VFD wine but doesn't rotate. I Get the meter out and it is indeed 50hz but the output voltage is only 48volts. My question is the drive cactus which I suspect and I hopefully can get a refund or am I missing something .

Do you have manual and have you read it?
VFDS are rarely plug and play so unless you have a lot of experience expect to do a couple of hours of homework with the manual BEFORE you connect it to a motor.
Have you done a factory reset - that's the first thing I would do on a used unit - I even do that on new ones after a new VFD tried to drive a motor up to 400Hz!

Bob the manual on these units Is rubbish. They have very limited settings I haven't even found a mention of a factory reset in the manual.

Yea these drives aren't anything like a Powertran or a HY. I just wanted a cheap drive for a 3 phase machine I
Wish to sell. I just find it strange it's only putting out 48volts.BETTER TO HAVE TOOLS YOU DON'T NEED THAN TO NEED TOOLS YOU DON'T HAVE

How long did you try it for - perhaps it has been set for a long ramp up time, a vfd is not like mains power where the motor comes on instantly they do take a few seconds to come up to full speed.

If you post the manual or a link the collective may spot something...

this is the user manual for an ISACON HY serieshy book.pdf
I bought one of these the weekend before last, mistakenly thinking it was a Huanyang.
I think PN32 (page 16) allows you to reset to the factory setting.
I also found some more info here.

On page 9 there is a setting Acceleration Time PN08 factory default is 10S (10 seconds ?) in the 50Hz column perhaps check this out you may need to set this for something a bit more practical like 3 or 4 seconds I've heard some VFD's don't like a setting much lower than this and they will go into overload due to the amount of current draw over short time so if this is the problem you may need to experiment a bit with settings.
I had a similar issue with my lathe VFD and the jog button, the jog frequency was set to I think to 7 or 8 Hz and the jog acceleration time was set for around 5 or 6 seconds - on pressing the button I had no motor action so I went looking for wiring errors, after much checking I spent some time with the manual and eventually realised I did not wait long enough for the motor to start. Resetting the acceleration time to a shorter time fixed the problem.

My guess is Pn12=400. To start with you want Pn12=50
All my HY's came set to 400 regardless of what the manual states.
While you are in there check Pn10=50.

How did you end up going with tht VFD Andre?
I need a couple of VFD's and was going to buy those cheapies but I need the basic functions such as ramp up, ramp down V/F curve customisation and jog.
SimonGirl, I don't wanna know about your mild-mannered alter ego or anything like that." I mean, you tell me you're, uh, super-mega-ultra-lightning babe? That's all right with me. I'm good. I'm good.
