Insulation testing
I have just dug out the star connection on a 0.55kw three phase motor in order to convert it into a delta wired motor that I can drive with a VFD. I was wondering if there was anybody in Adelaide with a megger that would be willing to test that the insulation in the motor is still good after 40 years of use and my butchery?

I'd say you could borrow mine but...
However, they are available from around $25 upward on ebay. Probably not a bad investment especially for those without a digital multimeter.

Michael,
I have several digital multimeters but they are no substitute for a megger. I have found something on gumtree though.
